Growing up in a family of traditional Chitrakars (painters), Akash has mastered the art of Pattachitra, a cherished craft that has been passed down for centuries.

Nestled 50 kilometers from Bhubaneswar, Raghurajpur is a living gallery of art and culture. This village is home to 155 families dedicated to preserving exquisite crafts, including Pattachitra paintings, Saura art, papier-mâché creations, and more.

Pattachitra is a traditional, cloth-based scroll painting that dates back to 5 BC. These paintings often depict mythological stories, with a strong focus on Hindu deities, particularly Lord Jagannath.
